Dear Rossmoor Families,

Welcome to Rossmoor Elementary, where the journey of college and career readiness is traveled.

I am so excited to welcome you and your family to the 2026–2027 school year. Whether you are joining us for the very first time or returning as a familiar face, we are honored to have you as part of our Rossmoor Family.

At Rossmoor, our mission extends beyond providing an exceptional education—we strive to create a school where every child is known, valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Our 2026–2027 theme, "Be You. Be Here. Belong.", reflects our commitment to fostering a community where every student feels connected, celebrated, and empowered to be their authentic self. We believe that when students feel they truly belong, they gain the confidence to become their best selves and shine brightly—in the classroom, on the playground, and throughout our community.

Rossmoor Elementary has a long tradition of excellence and is proud to have been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School, California Distinguished School, and Gold Ribbon School. While these honors are meaningful, what truly defines Rossmoor is our people. Our dedicated educators, supportive families, outstanding staff, and caring community work together to create an environment where every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our teachers are passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. Through engaging instruction, innovative programs, and a culture rooted in belonging, our students are encouraged to dream big, embrace challenges, discover their strengths, and develop a lifelong love of learning. From our House System to our STEM Lab, school garden, and leadership opportunities, every experience is intentionally designed to help our students grow with confidence while building meaningful connections with one another.

One of Rossmoor's greatest strengths is our extraordinary community. It truly takes a village to create the exceptional experiences our students enjoy each day, and our families are at the heart of that work.

Through the generosity and dedication of our Friends of Rossmoor (FOR), students experience signature programs that have become part of what makes Rossmoor so special, including our House System, STEM Lab, and school garden. These opportunities spark curiosity, inspire leadership, foster connections, and create lasting memories.

Our PTA also plays an invaluable role by providing classroom supplies, funding field trips, supporting instructional programs and assemblies, organizing family events, and enhancing countless opportunities throughout the school year. Together, FOR and PTA help create experiences that extend far beyond the classroom and make Rossmoor a truly extraordinary place to learn, grow, and belong.
